ParkMap

ParkMap turns Stockholm’s tangled parking rules into a map. You pick a time and how long you want to park, and every street in Stockholm turns green, orange or red depending on whether you’re allowed to park there. Tap a street and it tells you why.

  • Green: you can park for the whole time.
  • Orange: it’s fine now, but a restriction starts in the last half hour.
  • Red: no parking.
  • Gold: banned right now, but that ends within 15 minutes.

The data comes from the local traffic regulations published by Transportstyrelsen. They’re written as legal text, so an AI reads them and suggests the rules, and a human has to approve each rule before it shows up on the map. Parking fees are kept in a separate table. The sign on the street always wins, and the app says so.

It’s free, there’s no account, and it’s built to answer one question fast: can I park here?

I built it and run it myself.
